Bands and singers have until this weekend to enter a seaside showcase of musical talent.
Gorleston Makes Music, now in its sixth year, aims to provide a platform for performers to gain experience and exposure by singing and playing in front of picnicking crowds at the town’s bandstand.
The final is on Sunday, August 19 at 1pm, but the deadline for entries is Saturday, June 30 ready for auditions at the East Norfolk Sixth Form College on Thursday, July 12 at 4pm. Judges will whittle entries down to six finalists.
The event attracts solo singers, duets, choirs and musicians, but would like to feature bigger groups too including bands – from rock to brass.
The event is run by the Gorleston Rotary Club, and has cash prizes for finalists, including £250 for the winner.
Entries should be emailed to stuarthall1947@live.co.uk
