A colourful cast of Dickens’ most popular characters takes to the stage at Scratby tomorrow, Saturday, for one night only.
As part of a national tour the Rain or Shine professional touring company is stopping at All Saints Parish Hall to deliver its acclaimed version of the classic Great Expectations.
Possibly one of Dickens’ best-known works it features the characters of Pip, cold-hearted Estella and the time-locked Miss Havisham.

Young orphan, Philip Pirrip, known as Pip, is about to begin his life of Great Expectations in a thrilling coming-of-age tale.
Gloucestershire-based Rain or Shine Theatre Company is a regular visitor to the Ormesby with Scratby parish, building up a loyal audience and a reputation for quality drama.
It has been adapted by James Reynard’s. The performance is suitable for ages seven and upwards.
