ACTING and dance students are gearing up to meet their creator - the man who wrote and directed the original production of their big summer show, Disco Inferno.

Jai Sepple, who created, wrote, directed and played the lead in the first show in Essex, has promised the cast of Great Yarmouth College's production at the Hippodrome next month he will be in the audience for their final night and write a piece for their programme.

Students have given up their half-term this week to be in college rehearsing and making sets and costumes for their 70s extravaganza on June 19-21 which brings 30 top disco hits of the disco era to the circus.

Interest from the brains and creativity behind their project has made them all the more determined to deliver a professional-standard show.

Jai, a showbusiness professional for more than 20 years, has written, composed, directed and performed in more than 150 theatre productions with credits including Danny in Grease and title roles in Jesus Christ Superstar and Tommy. He wrote Disco Inferno in 2005 and hit productions ran simultaneously in Australia, New Zealand, Shanghai, Zimbabwe and across Europe.

Students contacted Sepple through the internet site Facebook and have also chatted to another former star of the original production who will also be in the audience.
