A touch of Disney magic is travelling to St George’s Theatre in the form of the full children’s musical Alice in Wonderland.
The Dragons Stage School and members of the Blue Beanstalk Company are following their previous productions of Beauty and the Beast and Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods, with the largest show the school have produced in over 10 years.
They invite the audience to join Alice’s madcap adventures in Wonderland as she chases the White Rabbit, races Dodo Bird, gets tied up with the Tweedles, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game! This fast-paced stage adaptation of Alice in Wonderland is largely based on the 1951 Disney animation and features such classic Disney songs as, I’m Late, the Un-birthday Song and Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah along with many more!
The White Rabbit and Tweedles will be meeting the audience at the door with a special welcome for any theatregoers who the shows in Wonderland-themed costumes.
Alice in Wonderland will be staged on Friday, July 18 at 7.30pm with a special matinee performance on Sunday, July 20 at 2.30pm. Tickets are £8 and £6 concessions. Tickets from the box office or call 01493 331484. Book online at www.stgeorgestheatre.com.
