IF you have missed a pantomime this season, fear not because there is one almost on the doorstep. Dreamstone Productions who stage the Murder Mysteries on the North Norfolk Railway and various Hotels in Norfolk are performing Aladdin at Caister Church Hall from this Sunday, February 10 to Sunday 17, which is half term for many schools.

Aladdin is played by Glenn Thomson with Helen Lindon as Princess Su-Ling. Dreamstone stalwart Paula Alexian plays Widow Twanky. There are panto debuts for youngsters Lorna Miller-Fik and Abbie Smith who share the part of the Princess's maid So-Shy. Martin Truss plays Ebenezer. Wishee Washee is played by James Burgess and Christon Sharpe who is making his stage debut. Aladdin is produced, written and directed by Maria Myers with Sam Parker as the musical director together with pupils from the Phyllis Adams School of dancing. The dazzling special effects have been produced by Jim Barker.

Maria said: “We thought about having the pantomime at Christmas but most of us had other commitments, so we thought that with February being a bit of a dull month, people need cheering up so hopefully this pantomime will put a smile on people's faces.”
