Bits and bobs from across the borough

BELLFOLK – a small handbell group which plays music on three octaves of handbells – is staging a concert at Christchurch, Great Yarmouth, on Sunday, November 21, at 3pm.

The group is rehearsing at Honingham weekly for the Bells before Christmas concert and invites people to a relaxing afternoon of music on handbells and folk harp.

Tickets �4 in advance via 01603 880508 or �5 on the door. Children up to 12 years of age, free of charge. Refreshments and raffle.

l From Boudica to Burgh Castle, recent research into Roman Norfolk is the subject of a talk by county archaeologist David Gurney at Acle High School.

Admission is free to the event on Monday, November 22, at 7pm.

l Burgh Hall hold a charity night in aid of breast and prostate cancer tomorrow. Featuring the Mike West Band the evening, 7.30pm to late, includes a buffet and raffle. Tickets, �10, with 50pc of proceeds to charity.

l Lowestoft stamp fair is moving to the newly refurbished conference room at Pleasurewood Hills. The first fair is on Sunday, November 28, from 10am to 3.30pm. Admission is free and children must be accompanied by an adult.

l A Christmas Tree Festival of Light will be held at St George’s Church, Rollesby, on November 20 and 21 between 10am and 4pm
