Family fun weekend in pipeline
THERE will be fun-a-plenty to be had as Hemsby Sports and Social Club, is organising a family fun weekend in July.The event, which is being staged in association with local entertainer Barrie Thornton will be taking place at Hemsby Playing field and Hemsby village hall on Saturday July 26 and Sunday 27Mr Thornton said: “The event theme emphasis is on a good all-round family weekend with an extra slant towards children.

The event, which is being staged in association with local entertainer Barrie Thornton will be taking place at Hemsby Playing field and Hemsby village hall on Saturday July 26 and Sunday 27
Mr Thornton said: “The event theme emphasis is on a good all-round family weekend with an extra slant towards children.”
The programme begins at 10am on Saturday and will be opened by the Endeavour Rangers Marching band. The event will include entertainment for the whole family including the Dimensions Dancers, displays from 901 troupe Marine Cadets and will come to a close at 10pm. The evening entertainment will be provided by a live band from 8pm, to be confirmed whilst the Hemsby Harlequins will perform a special show at 7pm in the village hall.
The event then continues on Sunday from 11am until 4pm. There will be more fun and games for all including displays and children's' entertainment including the Golden Sovereigns Majorettes. There will also be a jazz band on Sunday afternoon.
Peter Jay's Hippodrome Circus is Barrie Thornton's sponsor and throughout the weekend four lots of family tickets will be awarded to winners of competitions.

The owners of attractions, exhibits, charity stalls and children's Rides may still apply for a pitch.
