THE town centre in Great Yarmouth will become a hive of activity on Sunday in a bid to raise more funds for charity with Helping to Change Someone's Life Today.
THE town centre in Great Yarmouth will become a hive of activity on Sunday in a bid to raise more funds for charity with Helping to Change Someone's Life Today.
Organisers say the major event promises to be even bigger and better than last year's successful event which raised more than £2,000 in just six hours.
All the fun will be happening from 10am-4pm and there will be something for everyone.
The full crew of Star Wars characters will be on hand to entertain those sci-fi buffs and there will be memorabilia on show from the blockbuster movies.
The scooter club return for this year's event and a panel will judge the best in show. There is a children's fancy dress competition for ages from newborn to two, three to six and seven upwards.
The competition starts at 11am and will be followed by a parade around the Market Place. Prizes will be awarded to best girl and boy in each category.
Other attractions include a bed of nails, face painting, stalls, line dancing and live music by local band Canine Feeline.
Items on offer in the auction of promises include signed photographs of Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton and legend rockers Bon Jovi as well as tickets to local attractions and many other items.
At midday all eyes will turn to the mayor Terry Easter who will announce the winner of this year's Miss Great Yarmouth competition.
All money raised at the event will go towards Children in Need and Cancer Research UK.
