TOP Portuguese instrument maker Joao Ricardo and musician and teacher Tim Steiner are to appear together at the Hippodrome, Great Yarmouth on Thursday, October 30, during the Out There festival. They are working on a musical piece entitled Four Corners in the Round to celebrate diversity. Tim has this year been involved with the BBC's I'd Do Anything and. During the last 12 months has worked as artistic director of the BBC's Play it Again live events and has directed Bubbles in the Fountain for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

ORGANIST Peter Shaw is to guest at Great Yarmouth Keyboard Music Club's next meeting on Wednesday . He is currently promoting Ketron and Korg keyboards nation-wide. He has been musical director with the theatre version of Stars in Their Eyes which has toured the UK after receiving rave reviews at Her Majesties' Theatre, London. Peter has his own recording studio where he records his own CDs, as well as quality tracks and arrangements for fellow musicians. His musical arrangements encompass orchestral, theatre and classical organs, big band and piano amongst other styles. The meeting is at the Masonic Royal Assembly Rooms, Marine Parade, at 7.45pm.

GREAT Yarmouth Choral Society under conductor John Stephens, have started rehearsing for their next concert, John Rutter's Requiem, Haydn's Te Deum and choral items by Vaughan Williams. The GYCS meet on a Monday at 7.30pm at Oriel High School. Gorleston. New members are welcome. The Society has announced the appointment of a new accompanist, Christopher Whiting, a 3rd year music student at the UEA.
