WALKERS can learn about Fritton Lake's links to the second world war D Day landings on Sunday.
Warden Stuart Burgess will be leading a two mile, guided walk, including a short boat trip, to explore the secret tank training area.
Stuart will be talking about how the Army was able to make 30 tonne Sherman Tanks swim on Fritton Lake, and the area was used by the military during the war. There will be opportunity to look at surviving features and archaeology as well as air photos and copies of images taken at Fritton during the war.
The Fritton Lake War Walk - adults, �3, children �2 - takes place 10.30am to 12.30pm. Places are limited.
