TEDDY bears, beach bunnies and Andy the Clown will be providing a real family feel to Beccles Carnival, which takes place this weekend.

From stalls, to the funfair or the various displays, the carnival will run from today until Monday at Beccles Quay.

On Saturday, the procession will start at midday outside the QD stores in Beccles, from where the annual Teddy Bear Parade will make it way to the Quayside with The Beach Bunny and Andy.

The event is sponsored by Toy Box of Beccles.

So dress up the teddy bear and join for fun, games and prizes.

Visitors can also register their baby for the Baby competition - taking place later on the Quayside, sponsored by Richard Sturman photography. No entries will be accepted at the Quay.

Moore Music Roadshow will lead the parade to the Beccles Quay for the afternoon's entertainment.

There will be an annual fancy dress competition, or you can put on your running shoes for the races.

Andy the Clown will entertain you along with KYSLR Roadshow with fun and games.

Admission is free but donations are encouraged.

On Sunday, the traditional carnival procession starts out at 1pm from Rainbow Car Park to make its way along Gosford Road, Peddars Lane, St Mary's Road Ballygate, New Market, The Walk, Northgate and finishes at Beccles Quay, Fen Lane.

This year's parade will include a marching blues band along with lots of other entrants. Look out for the volunteers carrying official buckets - generous donations will ensure this event can be continued for many years.

This year's Quayside entertainment has a new attraction for 2010 with the static rally of steam engines, stationary vehicles, classic and vintage cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
