THIS month sees the fourth annual Great Yarmouth Museums at Night event taking place and it promises to be the best yet. Building on the success of the last few years the event, on Saturday, May 16, promises to be a night to remember.

Building on the success of the last few years the event, on Saturday, May 16, promises to be a night to remember.
As in previous years, the five museums within the town's Heritage Quarter open their doors free of charge, from 6 to 10pm, providing the whole family with a great night out.
There will be a chance to win a Heritage Quarter Pass on the evening as well as some great runner up prizes too.
To enter the prize draw, visitors will need to collect a stamp from each of the five museums taking part.
Each museum is being brought to life by costumed characters, hands-on activities, story telling, tastings, live music and drama.

This week we focus on the Time & Tide, Tolhouse and Elizabethan House museums.
The award winning Time & Tide is set in one of Britain's best preserved Victorian herring curing works.
Visitors can explore Yarmouth's maritime and fishing heritage, travel back in time to see mammoths, monks, mods and rockers and walk along an old Yarmouth row.
On the night, there will be fun fishy headwear to make, knot tying and a closer look at some maritime collections with curator Emma Davison.
The Silver Darlings caf� will be the place to chill out with local singer/musician Frank Saddington providing some smooth sea folk.
The medieval Tolhouse is the one of the oldest buildings in Yarmouth and always had links with law and order in the town.
A courthouse for hundreds of years - prisoners held in the cells include pirates, witches, fortune-tellers, deserters from the army and navy, swindlers, and thieves.
Visitors can meet Victorian gaoler Solomon Allies and hear tales from an unlucky inmate. Curious objects relating to the building's gruesome past will also be on display.
The Elizabethan House is famous for its connections with Oliver Cromwell who is said to have frequently visited his friend, John Carter there.
Find out about life upstairs and down in Tudor Yarmouth, explore amazing original rooms, the building's amazing stained glass and try on some historical costumes.
For the first time this year Yarmouth's Tourist on your Doorstep event will coincide with Museums at Night, making it a doubly great time to experience the fantastic attractions on offer in town.
