The Maxwell and Murphy guitar duo will first be playing tonight at The Golfers Arms, Great Yarmouth at 9pm before performing at Never Turn Back, Caister at 5pm on Sunday.

They play rock and indie music including songs by kings of Leon, Oasis, The Jam, Bon Jovi, Joe Satriani, Snow Patrol among others and have recently added more new songs to their set.

The duo consists of Andy Maxwell on vocals and guitar and Phil Murphy on electric and acoustic guitar.

The Fender Benders Boogie Band play a debut Gorleston gig at The Lord Nelson on Sunday, 3pm.

The band plays rock/blues and country/rock standards from the likes of Clapton, Ry Cooder, BB King, Bonnie Raitt and Chuck Berry, together with the occasional obscure track.

The band features guitar maestro Chris Laverick, an ex-professional musician, of 15 years standing.

Now a guitar teacher and author, his extraordinary playing makes it well worth checking out Sunday's gig.

The band also features experienced local musicians Ricky Knights on guitar and vocals, Lisa Knights on drums and Rufus Stone on bass and vocals.

An Old Time Dance will be held at Hemsby Village Hall on March 13 between 7.30pm and 11pm. Guests should wear formal dress and there will be a bar and refreshments. Cost of entry is �3.
