FORMER pupils of a dance school are being asked to hot-foot it to a reunion party and help it to celebrate its coming-of-age.

Pictured here are pupils of The Dancers School who were chosen to perform in the festival gala performance at the Norwich Dance Festival in October 1994.

Jayne King, who took over in 1992, is celebrating the school’s 18th birthday with her as a principal, with a party at the Cliff Hotel, Gorleston, to get as many ex-pupils together as possible on December 12.

Several of the pupils pictured went on to top dance and performing arts colleges in the country and are still performing professionally.

Among them are Natasha Lacey and Vicci Haddleton who studied at Doreen Bird College, Katie Cecil who undertook drama training at the Guildford School of Acting, Natasha Bird who went to London Studio Centre, and Gemma Daniels who trained at Brian Roger’s Performers College in Essex.

All of these ex-students hope to be at the reunion party with the exception of Natasha Bird who has just taken a job in Ireland.

Jayne said: “It is really lovely to still be in touch with so many ex-pupils, but I would love others who we have not seen recently to get in touch as well.

“I am very proud of the achievements of all my pupils, past and present, whether they came to classes just for fun and exercise, or whether they chose to take it further as their career.”
