ORGANISERS of a variety show hoping to raise thousands for Help for Heroes are appealing to businesses far and wide to help them in their efforts.

It is hoped that the show, which involves two performances on October 30 at the Gorleston Pavilion, will attract sponsors so that as much of the money raised on the day goes to charity.

Entertaining crowds will be a range of stars including ukulele virtuoso Andy Eastwood and locally-loved comedian Olly Day, as well as performances from the Gypsy Dancers and the Marine band from the TS Fearless.

Gorleston-based Mike Cooper last year helped in a similar event last year which raised thousands for Coast Watch and is involved with this year's plans.

He said: “This year we hope to raise 8000 and I can see no reason why we can't do that-it's a fully professional line up and there's a real mix on offer.

“The idea is taking off locally because it's such a good cause, but if we can cover all the costs of putting this on then that means more money to the boys who really need it.”

Sponsorship options run from total coverage of the costs-the 2500 'gold' option, which would mean a companies name appearing in all advertising and media as well as free tickets- through to a 20 'copper' option.

The matinee performance is on at 2pm, and the evening performance will go ahead at 7.30pm, with tickets costing 15 for adults, 14 for concessions and 10 for children.

Those interested in sponsoring the show can contact Mike Cooper on 01493 662100, Tony Wilkin on 01493 730164 or Peter Graystone on 07847877088.
