FANCY a career in showbiz? If the answer is yes now is your chance to show your talents as Haven Holidays with four holiday parks in the Great Yarmouth area, holds open auditions for entertainers this month in Norwich.

The X-Factor style events are being held at Norwich City FC in Carrow Road on Monday, January 19 and Tuesday 20 when aspiring performers will be put through their paces by a panel of judges from the holiday company.

Haven is looking to recruit more than 300 entertainers for its 35 holiday centres for the 2009 season beginning at the end of March. The company's four holiday parks in the Great Yarmouth area together employ more than 40 FunStars and singers and dancers.

Entertainments producer Simon Daniels, who is holding the many of the auditions, said: “We are looking for dynamic people with bright, bubbly personalities. You need to be a real team player to do well as everyone has to pull together to deliver our top quality entertainment package. It's hard work but exhilarating and great fun.”

Auditions for FunStars who help run the kids clubs, talent shows and interactive stage shows and for dedicated singers and dancers.

Simon said: “We want people to turn up, X-Factor style and show us what they can do, although our panel won't be as scary as some of the judges on TV talent shows.”

The Norwich auditions will begin at 10am on both days and on hand will be an experienced team of Haven entertainment managers who will hold an intensive day of auditions in dancing and singing, plus interviews.

Last year dozens of performers were recruited from Norfolk and several from Great Yarmouth including Nick Lansbury who was posted to Haven's flagship resort in Devon.

Also recruited last year was a young singer Leah Williams who went on to be crowned Haven's FunStar of the Year after a sparkling season at one of Haven's holiday parks in the west country. She was presented with her award and a 1,500 cheque by Britain's Got Talent runners-up dance group Signature.
