LIVING legend Duane Eddy, the inventor of the ‘Twang’ style of Rock ‘n’ Roll guitar playing will perform at Yarmouth’s Hippodrome Circus on May 19 at 8pm as part of the Norfolk & Norwich Festival.

Now 74 he will showcase all his hits from the 60’s including Peter Gunn, Rebel Rouser, and Because we’re Young, as well as tracks from his latest album Road Trip.

Supporting him is American songstress Nell Bryden, described as a blonde bombshell from Brooklyn.

Hippodrome owner Peter Jay said: “Duane Eddy was an idol of ours as we put together the Jaywalkers and some of our first ever songs we played as a band were his. Later when we turned pro and toured nationwide we always played Peter Gunn, with one of the world’s most recognised guitar riffs. For me personally it will be a very emotional moment to see him perform in my circus – it will be a night of great nostalgia – and how many chances do you get to see a living legend?”

Tickets via the box office, open Saturdays 11am to 3pm, on the phone on 01493 844172 or online at www.hippodromecircus.co.uk Tickets 20, 18 and 15.
