THE Hippodrome Christmas Circus publicity campaign will get a massive boost tomorrow when its advert is beamed into countless living rooms during a prime-time X Factor ad break.

Securing the slot means impresario Peter Jay can get his message out about this year’s line-up, which features over 50 performers, to even more people sitting on their sofas.

And, as it gears up for its 10th season, the show is already a record breaker – advance bookings stood at an all-time high last week.

Mr Jay said: “I am absolutely thrilled and amazed by the public support in a recession.

“It just shows that people will still have a family treat at Christmas despite the economic climate – the Hippodrome Christmas Spectacular is an ideal family experience, and is a million miles away from the old fashioned pantomime formula.

“Our show is full of spectacle, glamour and thrills.

“Bookings have been flooding in from around the country. I’m amazed how far people come to see our show.”

This year sees the return of the daredevil Globe of Death bikers from Bulgaria – the huge steel cage features amazing motorbike riders who perform hair-raising stunts that look impossibly dangerous.

Host Jack Jay and comedian Johnny Mac return for the Christmas season, the first Yuletide outing for the duo.

Mr Jay added: “We’re expecting a bumper Christmas season.

“The Christmas Spectacular featuring the Globe will be our biggest and most sensational presentation ever, together with big Christmassy numbers with over 50 people – aerialists, dancers, swimmers, acrobats and more. Don’t miss it!”
