The Lowestoft gig was the only East Anglian date the popular 66 year old performer had on his current UK tour.
But speaking on Radio Yare's Afternoon Delight programme he said: “We always have such a wonderful reception in this part of the world and I look forward to coming back later this year.”
He also said that his strong Christian faith had inspired him where his music was concerned, especially with the gospel favourite, My Forever Friend.
Also appearing on the radio programme were actress Kate O'Mara in a pre-recorded interview.
