FABULOUS live music from around the world, top entertainers, a famous TV celebrity plus all the usual fantastic thrills and spills are on offer at Pleasurewood Hills tomorrow August 2008 at the biggest birthday party in the region.

Pleasurewood Hills is celebrating its 25th birthday, and to mark the occasion, the theme park will be hosting a 'party in the park.'

There will be a guest appearance from local celebrity, Rock School star Lil' Chris, who will be signing autographs and riding with one lucky competition winner on Wipeout, the tallest and most extreme rollercoaster in the east of England.

The musical entertainment promises to amplify the party atmosphere, catering for all tastes from gypsy jazz to Brazilian beats:

Five Go Swing draw their inspiration from the passion and beauty of gypsy jazz. With an irresistible mix of beautiful melodies, combined with dynamic and rhythmic variety, these musicians play with a zest and intensity that expresses the romance of the gypsy tradition.

And to top things off, the Alan Sticky Wicket Swing Band will bring 1930's, 40's and 50's swing at its best.

The fun starts at 10am when Joe Larter, the original owner and inspiration behind Pleasurewood Hills, will officially get the party started.

Later in the day, Lil' Chris will lead the Parade through the Park, alongside Woody Bear with his new love interest, Rosie, mascots from other local attractions and the Premier Brass Oompah Band who will provide rousing renditions of all the classic oompah numbers, from the baroque music of Bach and Handel to the popular music of the Beatles and Queen.

Gates open at 10am until 6pm, standard admission charges apply with no extra cost for entertainment.
