Ten years ago, in a small town in the East of England two guys had a dream of getting a band together to play original, innovative and creative music.

No-one, including the band themselves, thought it would get off the ground, let alone survive this long and achieve so much. But now the Mother Black Cap machine has run out of steam, it’s songs have been sung, and the band will gracefully retire to try no doubt other exciting musical projects in the future.

But panic not - before they bow out of the limelight you will have a chance to see them one more time as they do the obligatory farewell tour...

But let’s cast our minds back over recent years - the band will have performed 133 gigs in their various line ups...from local pubs to playing with some of the greats - Focus, Curved Air, Uriah Heep and not forgetting Chas’n’Dave.

Performances at the prestigious Cambridge Rock Festival, the Progressive Rock’s premier London venue The Peel three times, the Classic Rock Society and numerous gigs on festival stages over the years.

And let’s not forget the three original albums they have released which have sold in dozens of countries, received air play all over the world, and lots of great reviews in magazines, radio and websites - most notably a very creditable eight out of 10 in Classic Rock magazine by Geoff Barton (founder of Kerrang and much respected rock journalist).

To see the band one last time, they will be playing the Kings Head in Lingwood on Saturday, October 25, the Stanford Arms in Lowestoft on Saturday, November 8, and finally the Acle Beer Festival on Saturday, November 29.
