Museums will show off their collections in a whole new light when they open after dark on Friday May 19, 6pm to 10pm.

The Time and Tide, Tolhouse, and Elizabethan House museums in Great Yarmouth will all be opening for free as part of the annual event.

Chiming with the Titanic exhibition drawing visitors to the Time and Tide, the event will have an ‘all at sea’ theme.

On the night the Time and Tide will be filled will the sights and sounds of an Edwardian passenger liner. Visitors will be able to view the treasures of a lady explorer coming back from her travels, send a telegram with the Marconi crew, and learn how to waltz.

Meanwhile there is a Mutiny at the Tolhouse! The museum has been taken over by its crew and the captain is locked in the cells. The challenge is to free him before his men find out. Visitors can enjoy crafts and face-painting, and pick up an explorers map to gain three stamps and a reward.
