History lovers have the opportunity to sample the town’s collections at three of its museum’s after dark tonight, 6-10pm.

Opening up at night for the annual festival are the Time and Tide Museum, Tolhouse Museum and Elizabethan House Museum.

Their closeness to each other makes their annual noctural opening perfect for a trail to visit all three.

Now an annual fixture that last year attracted 1600 people across the three sites visitors this year can enjoy additional activities aimed at bringing something extra to the collections.

Music from the ages will help the evening to go with a swing inspired by the Halfway to Paradise exhibition showing in the Time and Tide’s galleries.

There will be a chance for people to enjoy Rockabilly tunes from the house band The Bonneville 58’s and learn some swinging dance moves.

Organisers are also laying on craft activities, providing a “selfie space”, and some vintage vehicles.
