THE Miles Away Club have a gig at the Pub on the Shrubs in Gorleston tomorrow, Saturday, night. They will be playing songs from their album Deal ‘Em Again, as well as some new unreleased songs. This is the last gig the full band are playing until December and tickets are �2 on the door. The band will be supported by Chris Taylor and his acoustic guitar.

ROCK band Rawkas are playing at the Lord Nelson in Gorleston tonight, Friday. The music starts at 9pm and entry is free. They will be playing covers by the likes of Guns and Roses, Thin Lizzy, Kings of Leon and many more. AFTER five years, the Wood and the Wire will be holding its last event on Sunday, September 16, at the Albion public house in Gorleston starting at 8pm. The acoustic event offers a platform to singer/songwriters, first time performers, or just musicians wanting to play in a natural environment. The music on offer ranges from Jazz, Punk, Blues, Folk to self penned poetry.

For this last event organisers would like to see everyone who has performed at the event over the last five years, to make the last evening a very special. They add: “For those who are unable to make it, we would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all who have performed, or just come and enjoyed the Wood and the Wire.”
