Bands playing across the borough

RAP and hip hop duo Destination Mars are co-promoting and performing at the Get Funked Up student night on Thursday, April 14, at Gorleston Social Club.

Tickets, �5, will be available on the night from from 8pm til late.

Destination Mars perform at Karma on Wednesday, April 20.

Free admission from 9pm to midnight. They then appear at Mission at an event called Desire, with former Kiss presenter DJ Tomsta and Gus from EastEnders on Sunday, April 24. Admission is �3 before 1am, �4 after.

Destination Mars consist of singer song-writer Rosie Hunt and rapper and song-writer Jonjo Nicholls.

HAVING started in the 70s, recently reformed band The Night Rollers will be playing gigs around the area in the coming weeks.

The four-piece from Great Yarmouth play rock ’n’ roll from the 50s and 60s and have been touring elsewhere in the country, but tomorrow they will be playing in the Seabreeze in Lowestoft from 8.30pm, while on Sunday they will perform in The Red Lion in Southwold from 3-6pm.

A NIGHT of music will be raising money for a good cause tomorrow in Burgh Castle.

From 8pm, with MC Salty compering, All Mod Cons will be playing alongside other bands including The Lore Breakers and the Looney Tunes at Burgh Hall on Lords Lane.

The event is being organised by Rachael Lear, 46, who is celebrating the 20th anniversary since she had a heart transplant in 1991 at Papworth Hospital in Cambridge.

There will also be a raffle on the night, with tickets for the whole thing costing �5 and all proceeds going to the hospital.
