The Uninvited play their debut gig at Merlins, Apsley Road, Great Yarmouth on Saturday June 15.

The band is new but made up of experienced musicians from the local area. They play modern covers embracing rock, pop, country rock, rhythm and blues, and a dash of musical theatre.

The idea of the band was formed by Nicky Rushton and Kevin Hunt in the Summer of 2011 with the line-up finalised in October 2012.

Nicky said: “The whole concept of the band was to have some fun, having all done really serious stuff in the past. “While having fun, we want to present the music to a reasonable standard and hopefully be covering some slightly different material to what people may normally expect to hear. If the band has a good time, then hopefully we can inspire the audience to have a good time also. This is a new musical adventure and we are very excited about getting out there and playing live. For some of us it has been a very long time.”

The band’s line up is Nicky Rushton lead vocals and acoustic guitar (ex Thieving Gypsies and Sliver), Sue McNeil harmony and backing vocals (ex Thieving Gypsies and The Disciples), John Dallimore lead guitar and backing vocals (Bazooka Joe), Chris Darnell bass and backing vocals, Kevin Hunt drums (ex Runestaff, Thieving Gypsies, and Sliver).

Doors open at 8pm and the band will be on stage around 8.45pm. Admission is free.
