MEMBERS of the original Dusmagrik Young People's Theatre Company have returned from their summer break ready and eager to begin rehearsals for their next show - the Broadway musical, Gypsy.

The show will be performed at the Gorleston Pavilion in November in aid of Children in Need and features many well known songs including, Let Me Entertain You, You Gotta Have a Gimmick and Together Wherever We Go as well as the legendary Everything's Coming Up Roses, made famous by Ethel Merman.

Created by Broadway icons Jule Styne (music), Stephen Sondheim (lyrics), and Arthur Laurents (book), the show is set amid the worlds of vaudeville and burlesque in 1920's and 30's America.

The story begins at a children's talent show where Rose, the epitome of the pushy, over-ambitious showbusiness mother is determined her daughters are going to be stars. Making their debuts in leading roles with the group are eight year old Alice Forder from Ormesby as Baby June and seven year old Emily Takman from Lowestoft as Baby Louise.

Gypsy runs from November 18 to 21 at 7.30pm nightly with a matine on the Saturday at 2pm.

Tickets priced 9 for adults and 5 for children are available from the theatre box office 01493 662832 or book online at www.gorlestonpavilion.co.uk
