Tickets have gone on sale for the popular Lardal Kantori Norwegian Christmas Carol Concert staged in Great Yarmouth Minster later this month.

Having performed at the church every year since 2002 as part of the Great Yarmouth Christmas Fayre weekend, the Norwegian choir has built up a strong following with people travelling from as far away as Peterborough to hear them perform a mix of traditional Christmas carols in Norwegian and English.

This will be the 15th trip that the Norwegian choir has made to Great Yarmouth from its home in the south east region of Norway.

Choir conductor, Kjell Håkestad, said: “We always look forward to our trip to Great Yarmouth and the wonderful acoustics of the Minster makes singing there a fantastic experience.”

The Norwegians also enjoy visiting town centre shops, cafes and pubs during the Christmas Fayre weekend and can also be seen in their traditional costumes in the civic procession to the Minster as part of the fayre’s closing ceremony on the Sunday afternoon.

The Lardal Kantori Concert is on Saturday November 26 at 7.30pm and includes a buffet sponsored by electricians Bowers and Barr at the end of the concert where the audience can mingle with the singers.

Advance tickets are £8 from Palmers Department Store in the Market Place, Great Yarmouth Minster and Anglia Copy & Print on Deneside.

You can also visit the events page at www.gytcp.co.uk. Tickets will also be available on the door for £10.
