Two well known choirs will be combining to give a concert in Gorleston.

In what is believed to be a first for the town, Gorleston’s G and S Singers and Norwich’s Fine City Chorus will be sharing a programme for all tastes at the Magdalen Way Methodist Church on Saturday, June 2 from 7.30pm.

The Fine City Chorus will sing selected barber shops songs and their counterparts will sing songs from their newly enhanced repertoire.

Together the choirs will have more than 60 singers performing.

Tickets are priced at £8 and are available from Music Lovers in Gorleston High Street (01493 440021). The evening will include refreshments and a bumper raffle.

The G and Singers were previously known as The Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

A spokesman for the event said: “Both choirs have a large following and together will provide over 60 singers on stage.”
