With only seven days to go until Great Yarmouth’s Biggest Ever Pantomime, the cast are set, the stage in built and everything is all ready to go.

The professional cast of seven main characters, as well as the dancers from the Nabjab School of Performing Arts, have been rehearsing for months and are all excited to raise the curtain on this year’s production.

There are 28 performances of Cinderella and the show is again written by Gavin Dean. The first European adaption of Cinderella was written in 1634 in Naples, Italy and called Cenerentola, long before the famous Disney classic in 1950.

Cinderella was based on famous Hollywood actress Helene Stanley. Cinderella was a pioneer princess for fairytale stories as she was not royal, paving the way for Belle in 1991, Mulan in 1998 and Tiana in 2009.

Cinderella opens at St George’s Theatre on Friday December 18 and runs until Sunday January 10 with tickets starting at £9.
