SOME of the county's most promising young musicians are set to perform at the Hippodrome on Saturday, March 27 in a concert by Norfolk County Youth Orchestra.

The orchestra, now in its fifth year, has established itself as a flagship for promoting young and talented musicians aged 12 to 19 from Norfolk.

The programme includes Borodin's lyrical Symphony no.2 and Shostakovich's Festival Overture with its exciting brass fanfares and fast string passages alongside some old favourites from Swan Lake and the can can.

Juliet Rickard, orchestra director said: “Our students are very excited about playing in such a great venue. The acoustics are really excellent and I hope that local people will come along to hear the orchestra and support our musicians.”

Tickets priced 8 and 4 are available via www.hippodromecircus.co.uk or from the box office on 01493 844172
