GREAT Yarmouth Keyboard Music Club is presenting a first class musical evening with the Longhawn Trio from York next week. The performance will be held at the Masonic Royal Assembly Rooms, Marine Parade on Wednesday at 7.45pm. The trio has a range of musical abilities and will be entertaining the club on Yahama organ, keyboards, electric piano and saxophone. This is the band's first visit to Yarmouth. THERE are stillsome recitals and events to enjoy at the Priory Parish Church of St Nicholas, Great Yarmouth. Wednesday sees Kate Reynolds and John Stephens with violin and piano and on August 27 John Farmer on piano and organ. After each recital a collection will be taken in aid of the Organ Fund. MUSIC for a summer evening is to take place at Martham Parish Church on Thursday evening. Musician Roger Rayner will be entertaining on piano and organ. All the proceeds will go to help survivors of the May 12 earthquake in China which was centred at Wenchuan in Sichuan province. This has been the area most affected by the earthquake and it is where Rachel Meakin from Martham, who teaches English at the Teacher's Training College there, survived the earthquake along with most of the pupils, but where there was the most devastating damage.

The performance at Martham Parish Church starts at 7.30pm, admission £6 (£5 concessions) including a glass of wine.
