Gorleston-based DPA is set to present The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 and Three Quarter at The Seagull Theatre in Lowestoft.

The theatre school’s version follows the angst-ridden trials and tribulations of Adrian Mole, together with his daily dramas and misadventures, hearing him hilariously commentate on everything that happens around him.

The first in an eight-book series, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole by Sue Townsend, was published in 1982 and has sold 20 million copies worldwide.

This version has been affectionately tweaked by Lorraine Mason and Ricki Peake.

It runs for two nights tonight and tomorrow at 7.30pm at The Seagull Theatre, Lowestoft.
