GORLESTON Theatre Company has announced its new year panto will be family favourite Cinderella at the Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth.

The company is looking for potential performers to audition at the end of this month.

Company co-chairman Michael Timewell said: “We are very much looking forward to producing Cinderella at the Hippodrome. It will, of course, provide some challenges in terms of scenery, lighting and production but we are confident our experienced production team will take this in their stride and produce a real cracker of a pantomime.”

Hippodrome owner Peter Jay was equally delighted with the news.

He said: “Our aim is to make use of this iconic building throughout the whole year and we welcome the chance to work with Gorleston Theatre Company who's panto will follow our own Hippodrome Christmas Spectacular.”

Cinderella will be performed nightly from January 21 to 24 with matinees on January 24 and 25.

Ticket prices and booking details will be released shortly.
