THE annual James Hurren Charity Summer Ball will be held on July 25 at the Ocean Room in Gorleston.

The fundraiser used to be known as the James Hurren Tsunami Fund summer ball and was named after the 22-year-old Caister man who died in the tsunami that hit Phi Phi Island in Thailand on Boxing Day, 2004.

However, James' father Dale Hurren has decided that as life on the island had returned to normal, funds will go to a different cause, the Marie Keating Foundation for Breast Cancer set up by pop star Ronan Keating and his family.

To buy ball tickets phone Dale on either 07985 669412 or 01493 721732.
