Raise money and drive a train on the Bure Valley Railway Walk
A TRAIN driving experience will be up for grabs for those taking part in the annual Bure Valley Railway Walk fundraiser.
Organised by Macmillan Cancer Support, the event marks the centenary celebrations of the charity and allows those taking part to opt for a three, six or nine mile walk, each of which follows the trail that winds alongside the route between Aylsham and Wroxham.
It takes place on Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10, and a free one day train driver experience course worth over 200 will on offer to the individual- over 18s only-who fundraises the highest amount.
Macmillan’s Norfolk fundraising manager, Helen Chapman, said: “Bure Valley Railway has once again shown fantastic generosity and we’re all hoping their example will help inspire people to really give it their all in our centenary year.
“Every step we take together makes more of a difference than you realise, so let’s make this one as amazing as it can be.”
Every year, in excess of 4,400 people are diagnosed with cancer across Norfolk.
