MANY participants from the Great Yarmouth Relay for Life event are teaming up to raise further funds for Cancer Research UK, with a table-top sale to be held at St Peter’s Church Hall, Lowestoft Road, Gorleston on Saturday, May 28.

Team members from The Dancers School, Gorleston Theatre Company, Betty’s Barmy Army, The Mad Marchers, Stevies Wanderers and Misfits will be getting together to sell a selection of new items, second-hand clothes, household items, CDs, books and whatever else they have gathered together, along with plant and home-made cake stalls.

Refreshments will also be on sale, as well as a raffle to raise extra funds. All proceeds will be added to the team totals which will be going to Cancer Research UK at the end of this year’s Relay for Life.

There are currently 19 teams registered for the 2011 Relay which takes place on July 23 and 24 at Caister High School. In the lead-up to the event, all of these teams are busy fundraising with various events to try to achieve a total of �44,000 for this year’s event.
