Swan Lake, performed by Anthony Dowell’s company has sold out the entire run this spring at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
But do not fear - it is being broadcast live across the UK and St George’s Theatre has the rights to screen the production on March 17.
Swan Lake, surely the greatest of all romantic ballets, is the captivating story of a beautiful woman transformed into a swan, and a heartrending tribute to the power of love.
Prince Siegfried chances upon a flock of swans while out hunting. When one of the swans turns into a beautiful woman, Odette, he is instantly captivated and determines to break the spell that holds her captive.
The evil spirit Von Rothbart, arbiter of the curse, disguises his daughter as Odette. Fooled, Siegfried declares his love for her…
