GREAT Yarmouth Racecourse's summer season of Rhythm & Rock Nights comes to a climax with a concert by So Blondie after evening horse racing on Monday.

They are the third and final tribute act performing during some of the most popular fixtures of the year.

Glenn Tubby, General Manager of Great Yarmouth Racecourse, said: "Live music acts after horse racing finishes draw in big crowds during the summer, and create a superb atmosphere at the racecourse. Fake That were superb in mid-July as were Ultimate Madness last week. Now we're looking forward to So Blondie."

The band will come on stage to entertain visitors when the six horse races have finished just before 8pm, and play for one hour.

Since being formed in 1999, So Blondie have developed a reputation as one of the best tribute bands in Britain. It followed lead singer Helen York's critical acclaim for her portrayal of Debbie Harry in a successful UK tour.

Children - under 16s get free admission when accompanied by an adult - are also well catered during the music night. There will be a children's entertainer, bouncy castle, donkey rides and an adventure playground.

On-the-day admission is 21 to the Premier Enclosure and 14 to the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure. Online booking is at www.greatyarmouth-racecourse.co.uk where discounts are available.

Gates open at 3.20pm on Monday 17 August, with a first race time of 5.20pm. The last race is at 7.50pm, with the live music from 8pm.
