THE 2008 fun season is here! The Pleasure Beach opens this weekend and with so many rides and attractions it's the place to be to kick-start the coming summer season.

Gates open this year this weekend with the chance to try the white knuckle rides for the “big kids” such as the Sky Drop, Disko and Evolution while for the little ones there are the Snails and Fairy Tales Ride, Tea Cups, Yo-Yo and Fun House to mention a few. With over 25 large rides and attractions there is something for all ages at the Pleasure Beach.

For the young ones, one of the most popular “must do's” is a ride on one of the ten snails to Fairy Tale Land, where youngsters can see scenes from Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretel, Little Mermaid and Pinocchio, weaving in and out and through brightly lit tunnels on the way.

And of course what's more traditional when you're visiting the seafront than having an ice cream, hot and sugar-coated doughnut or candy floss, all available on the park? But if you fancy something a bit more substantial, there are full catering facilities on site - and yes, the traditional fish and chips are there as well.

Visitors also have the chance to cool down from the excitement of the rides and try their luck at one of the many sidestalls and maybe win a fabulous prize to take home.

The Pleasure Beach opens daily for the Easter break, March 21 to April 6. The park is free to enter and rides can be paid for with an All-Day Wristband or ride-as-you-go with tokens.

It's a complete day out for all the family with fun, thrills and lots and lots of laughter guaranteed.
