IT'S time to get out those glittery platforms, swinging flares and flapping collared shirts as students at Great Yarmouth College revive Seventies disco in a show at the Hippodrome Circus.

In June, students will get do on it to numbers like A Night to Remember, I Will Survive and Celebration.

Disco Inferno turns the clock back to the summer of 1976 and gives the audience a high-energy musical full of nostalgia for the age of disco and everything Seventies.

Boys will be riding Chopper bikes round the circus ring stage, hair will be feather-cut and glitter will be everywhere to Burn, Baby Burn for Disco Inferno.

Hits like Crocodile Rock, Hot Stuff, You to Me are Everything, Street Life, Boogie Nights and Play that Funky Music White Boy are on the bill with a Village People medley and mix of Boogie Wonderland, Blame it on the Boogie and Let's Groove.

Performing arts students at Yarmouth College are well into rehearsals for the June show and are preparing posters and fliers and planning publicity shots.

Disco Inferno will be the follow-up to the college's first big show at the Hippodrome last year We Will Rock You that won standing ovations from its big audiences for its three-night run.

Lead roles of Jack and Jane are being played by Luke Boydell and Lauren Baker with Roxy West as Lady Marmalade. Chloe Wilsher is Maggie, Daniel Jermy, Tom, Jarone Macklin-Page, Heathcliffe and Hannah Ruddock is Kathy

Disco Inferno runs nightly from Thursday, June 19 to Saturday June 21 at 7.30pm and tickets will be available soon from the Hippodrome box office.

The students are also appealing for anyone with a Chopper bike who is willing to lend it to them for the show to get in touch. Anyone who can help should contact Nick Ball on 01493 419278.
