DON'T miss out, because cruises on the stunning Mercedes Tall Ship vessel at the popular Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival have proved so popular that organisers have released tickets for a further sailing to take place on Friday evening at 7pm on September 5. Three hour cruises on the stunning Dutch square-rigged two-masted tall ship, the Brig Mercedes, are generating such levels of interest that telephones at the Tourist Information Centre have been ringing non-stop with would-be sailors from all around the county buying tickets.

The massive brigantine is a German registered Tall Ship which was fitted out in Holland and inaugurated in 2005. It combines the latest technology with traditional maritime in a totally modern yet very traditional tall ship which can also welcome wheelchair users on board.

Tickets for the three hour sailings leaving at 3pm on Thursday and Friday and 7pm on Thursday, Sunday and now Friday as well, are available from the Great Yarmouth Tourist Information Centre on Marine Parade or by telephoning 01493 846346.

The Mercedes will be moored alongside South Quay throughout the Maritime Festival on Saturday and Sunday when festival goers can come aboard and explore this magnificent vessel. The Maritime Festival is organized by the Greater Yarmouth Tourist Authority and Great Yarmouth Borough Council in conjunction with Eastport UK.
