Following the sell-out success of their last production, Murder in Mind, local theatre company Centre Stage Players are set to tread the boards again with their next production, The Ladykillers.

The classic black comedy is based on the 1955 film starring Alec Guinness, and adapted for stage by the writer of Father Ted, this is not to be missed.

Professor Marcus and his gang pose as amateur musicians to rent rooms in the lopsided house of sweet Mrs Wilberforce. The villains plot to involve her, unwittingly, in Marcus’ brilliantly conceived heist job. The police are left stumped but Mrs Wilberforce becomes wise to their ruse and Marcus concludes there is only one way to keep the old lady quiet.

With only her parrot, General Gordon, to help her Mrs Wilberforce is alone with five desperate men.
