HITS of Broadway and the West End will be brought to the Hippodrome Circus in Great Yarmouth College performing arts students’ annual musical theatre production.

The Show Must Go On is a whistle-stop tour of eight musicals which have graced the stages of London’s West End and New York’s Broadway.

Songs and music coming to the famous ring include hits from Legally Blonde, the 80s’ rock musical Rock of All Ages, Sister Act, Hairspray, The Addams Family, Our House and more.

The show next month also features a special We Will Rock You finale to mark the 40th anniversary of rock band Queen whose musical is still rocking London’s Dominion theatre after nine years. Course leader Nick Ball said a revue show was a big undertaking but it offered students more scope than a single musical.

She said: “The hardest job in planning a show of this type is not which shows to put in but which to leave out. I hope we have put together a blend of shows that will appeal to all tastes.”

The Show Must Go On runs at the Hippodrome from June 16 to 18 with performances at 7.30pm. Tickets from the Box Office on 01493 844172; Yarmouth Tourist Information Centre or online at www.hippodromecircus.co.uk
