Weird Coastal Buoys Comedy have announced their remaining headline comedy acts for the monthly stand up show at St George’s Theatre.
The calibre of acts continues to remain high with stars of Live at the Apollo, Buzzcocks and other TV shows. The Christmas Comedy Showcase features three high profile acts.
Thursday, September 10 sees the funny Mark Dolan, who is perhaps best known for presenting the hit Channel 4 show Balls of Steel. Mark, a circuit headliner who rose to fame on Channel 4’s Show me the Funny, will bring his own brand of inclusive hilarity to St George’s.
On October 8 Nick Doody headlines. Nick started his career by supporting US comedy star Bill Hicks. Nick is a regular on 8 out 10 Cats, Friday Night Live among others.
The following month, November 12, Nathan Caton headlines the show. Nathan is an award winning comedian who brought the house down on the BBC’s Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and Russell Howard’s Good News.
Finally in December, the stardust is three pronged: eccentric cult Canadian comic Bobby Mair has been touted by Jimmy Carr as “Going to be huge international comedy star,” He has multiple TV performances on both sides of the Atlantic including Buzzcocks, 8 out 10 Cats and Russell Howard’s Good News. The night will be MC’d by comic, model and soap star James Redmond (Holly Oaks, Casualty, Coronation Street and Emmerdale) and the night also brings Scottish Comedian of the Year Larry Dean.
