Lady luck is set to shine on Great Yarmouth’s St George’s Theatre as it hosts is first Charity Spring Ball.

One Night in Vegas will set the roulette wheel spinning on a night of glamorous fundraising fun on Saturday, March 7.

The fundraising event is in support of the charitable theatre trust that manages the theatre and the Great Yarmouth Lions.

The former chapel will be showcasing its ability to be a multi-use venue with three casino tables in the main auditorium.

Guests will be able to try their hand at Black Jack, Roulette and Poker as the room is transformed into a fun casino for the evening where people can play the tables to collect as many chips as possible to compete to win the evening’s star prize.

Proceeds from the chips will be split between the two good causes.

As well as casino tables there will drinks and canapes on arrival, close-up magic from Sean Goodman, glamour provided by the Velvet Kitten Showgirls and live entertainment with the Blues Brothers Show. You even get some chips included upon entrance to help get you started.

Gavin Dean, assistant manager, hopes this is the start of more of these events, especially the seasonal balls where local charities can benefit.

“We would love to run these on a regular basis, not only to offer something new to our customers but also where we can give other charities the opportunity to join us in co-ordinating such events with us to help them raise funds and awareness. This is a great night out for couples, groups or those looking to get a little casino experience.”

The Spring Charity Ball will take place on the Saturday March 7. Tickets £15 are available from the box office on 01493 331484 or on-line at www.stgeorgestheatre.com.
