Let your boots do the walking this year at Macmillan Cancer Supports annual Bure Valley Railway Walk which takes place this year on Saturday and Sunday, April 17 and 18 between Wroxham and Aylsham.

The charity is looking for people to walk with them and help raise over 50,000.

This year participants have a choice of 12 walks to take part in over the weekend with every walker receiving a trip on a Bure Valley narrow gauge steam train along with a certificate for taking part and light refreshments at the end of their walk.

Walkers get the chance to stroll through some of Norfolk's prettiest countryside along the Bure Valley pathway which runs alongside the Bure Valley railway track passing through Colitshall, Hautbois, Buxton and Brampton before reaching Aylsham.

The walk remains similar to past years where participants choose whether they wish to begin their walk with a steam train ride from either Wroxham or Aylsham before walking back to their start point.

Walkers wanting to take part but feel the 9 mile route is too much and the three mile route is to little, will be pleased to know there's now a six mile walk as well! There's also a new option for anyone wanting to walk three miles from the Wroxham end.

This year registering to take part in the Bure Valley Railway Walk couldn't be simpler, visit: www.macmillan.org.uk/walk. If you don't have access to the internet but would still like to take part please call the local fundraising office on: 01603 724369.
