THIS weekend sees Great Yarmouth Racecourse is host its third annual wedding fayre as the venue expands its repertoire of events beyond horse racing.

The fayre on Sunday starts at 11am, and finishes at 3pm, with a bridal wear fashion show by Church Belles Bridal at 1pm. Admission and car parking is free at the racecourse.

There are complimentary refreshments for all visitors, and a free glass of bubbly for every bride. A wide range of wedding service providers will be exhibiting, with everything from wedding dresses, flowers, outfits for grooms and bridesmaids, a horse drawn carriage, wedding cars through to photographers and DJs.

Marie Gates, events manager, said: “Since the racecourse has been licensed to hold wedding and civil partnership ceremonies, the racecourse has become even more popular. It is the perfect venue for a wedding or civil partnership. The Lord Nelson grandstand offers a picturesque setting for that special day, with a wonderful backdrop for photographic memories.”

The facilities can accommodate as few as 50 guests and as many as 150 for ceremonies and 250 for wedding breakfasts and receptions.
