A vicar will temporarily swap Bibles for bass lines later this month, when his band performs at his church’s Christmas fair.
Rocking Rev Brian Hall, vicar of Gorleston St Andrew’s Church, will pick up the bass guitar as his band - The Long Faces - perform at the fair.
Formerly of a Status Quo tribute band, the 58-year-old will get down, down, with his group at the event - which also features his wife Barbara on vocals.
The Long Faces will not be the only musical performance at the fair - which runs from 10.30am until 2pm on Saturday, November 25.
St Andrew’s eight strong hand bell ringing band will also be performing at the event, more than making up for the traditional church bells being out of action.
Caroline Kinchin Smith, who trained group, said: “The team of eight have been rehearsing for some time and are looking forward to making their debut.”
Father Christmas will also appear at the event.
