A wild night of comedy is taking place this weekend, which promises to have the audience roaring with laughter.

Award-winning comic Brendon Burns is bringing his ‘Black Comedian’ show to Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens, as part of a short UK tour.

The comedian, who won the best show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2007, will perform a two-and-a-half hour set, which will see him address - among other topics - race relations in his native Australia.

The Australian’s how as been described as delivering an uncompromising, eye-opening show, which is bound to appeal those with wicked senses of humour.

Sarah Bird, director at Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens, said: “He’s brilliant, it’s going to be a great night. We’re very lucky to have a comedian of his calibre performing.”

Tickets for the event, which is strictly over 18s only, are £11 from www.perfectstrangerscomedy.co.uk/brendon-burns
